Ingredients:
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup, such as Karo
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup butter or margarine
- 1 cup half-and-half or whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions:
- Mix together all ingredients except vanilla in large pan over medium-high heat
- Cook to 248° F on candy thermometer (learn more about candy temperatures)
- Remove from heat, adding vanilla
- Pour into buttered cookie sheet with sides or jelly roll pan
- Allow mixture to cool
- Cut into pieces and wrap in waxed paper or cellophane
