My mom made these for our wedding, it both alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. I'll let you guess which ones were more popular.
Soak pecans in bourbon overnight in airtight container. Combine 1 lb. of conf. Sugar with bourbon drained from pecans. Cream thoroughly - 1 lb. conf. Sugar with butter which has been softened. Combine the two mixtures. Blend. Add pecans. Chill for a short time and make into small balls. Dip in melted chocolate and paraffin cooled to 80 degrees F. Place on wax paper till set. (I ground my nuts in food processor. They soaked up all the bourbon, so I just mixed nuts in first batch of powdered sugar.).
